Skippers hold RYA Commercially Endorsed Yachtmaster Tickets or MCA Class 4 certification as a minimum and will have gone through extensive training, to ensure that they deliver the high standards of service that Pembury Yacht Service s maintain.
(2) Can I supply crew?
Crews are made up of a Skipper, First Mate, Bosun and Purser. Subject to your Crew meeting our selection criteria we are happy to consider your request. However, it should be noted that the Skipper has the final say.
(3) Can I select my own crew?
Subject to availability, we are happy for you to select one of our Skippers or Crew members who have previously sailed with you or on one of your vessels.
(4) Can I come on the delivery as well?
We regularly conduct assisted passages and in such instances Owner will be treated as regular Crew.
(5) Will the crew look after my vessel?
Our Skippers and Crew are hand picked and amongst the best in the industry, we trust them to deliver the high standards of service that we set and to look after the vessel as if it were their own. In addition, all vessels are subject to random "Spot Checks" carried out by one our London staff.

How do I keep control of cost whilst the vessel is on passage?
This is a legitimate concern as many companies provide scant detail in their quotation. Pembury Yacht Service s, unless specified otherwise, will always provide an inclusive rate for the delivery. We will provide a competitive price that clearly states everything that is and is not included e.g. fuel, flights, food, dockage and canal fees, charts etc.
(7) Will I be contacted whilst on passage?
Where possible you will be contacted by the Skipper of your vessel every few days with a progress report.
(8) What about insurance?
Our Crew will need to be covered on your policy of insurance for the proposed passage. We are happy to provide Crew details to you insurer confirming their professional standing
